		Milos is the western-most island of the Cyclades in the Aegean. It' s in a distance of 86 nautical miles from the port of Piraeus with an area of 151 sq. km. and a coastal perimeter of 125 km. The trip by ferry depends on the type of the boat and the itinerary scheduled. Conventional boats usually take 5-7:30 hours to reach the island, while high-speed boats take anywhere from 2:30-4:30 hours. The plane trip lasts only 25 mins. The capital of the island is Plaka (or Chora). Adamas is the main port and a big tourist center. Pollonia, a traditional fishing village, is the second port connecting Milos to the neighboring island Kimolos. The trip from Pollonia to Kimolos takes 30 mins. by ferry.
