Mewcat, the Educational Women's Collaboration for Activities in Tourism, was founded in 1990 as women's initiative to support development and education in remote tourist regions like Milos Island.
		Since then, Mewcat has been involved in the production of language learning material and environmental education media with the aim to create sustainable forms of tourism and activity and green tourism and to improve tourism services, also to care for environment protection. For these aims Mewcat had been carrying out numerous European co-funded projects.
